How badly will bleaching my hair damage it?

I have naturally very, very dark brown hair. I want to dye all of it fire truck red and I know that in order to get that color, I will need to bleach it. How badly will bleaching damage my hair? I recently cut a lot off to make it healthy and I don’t want to completely fry it.

Okay, first of all, make sure you get it WHITE when you bleach it so it comes out red…but yeah it will probably dry your hair out a little…all u gotta do is get a little Infusium 80. You can find it at your beauty supply store, or if it’s super dry and crispy, get a hot oil treatment, those almost always work, I’ve seen my mom (A hair dresser) use these things on the most unrepairable hair.

You can start by dying it light blond, and work your way up, waiting at the very least 2 weeks (or more for better results! you don’t wanna kill your hair follicles!) before you dye it again to let it recover. Work your way up to lighter blonds and then when you get to platinum, go red! I would ask your hair dresser though, because she’ll know what kind of hair you have and how healthy it is, and if it can handle it.

It will really fry your hair. My advise is put a little bit of bleach is your shampoo at a time. That way it will get lighter without really bleaching it all at once.

im not fully sure, but im pretty sure it does little to no serious damage

the worst ive seen happen, is after frequent use of it, later in life ur hair isn’t quite as like soft an shit, but its not like super hard either, so i dont think its a huge problem

besides i know LOADS of people who have done that, and i dont know any that have had real hair problems
