How do you test the amount of bleaching done to a fabric in a lab?
The bleaching done to the fabric using dyes of various acidity…I’m thinking of using a spectrometer to test the various amount of asorbance of the bleach solution after the bleaching is done, but not sure if the bleach has absorbance values or not. Please help, thanks!
Using a spectrometer would depend upon the wavelength available. NaOCl has absorbance in the UV range. This would also require an instrument with a reflectance bridge. A more practical approach would be to compare the fabric with the original by visual comparison.
