It may be that you are taken in by the number of fabulous designs massage tables are now available in, but it is advisable to wait and compare these for quality and pricing against others existing in the growing market so your back massage is more soothing than ever!

Look for the basics of a massage table along the concepts that make it a dependable and worthy proposition to invest in for your good health: check out various designs, type of construction, comfort and firmness factors besides the weight (both of the table and on your pocket!)

A good massage table needs to be not only good to look at, but functional and practical as well for your added ease of transportation; choose one that is portable and made of good quality, whatever your budget.

Check out various parts of the massage table that takes your fancy and look for design details such as comfort and ease of use, even if it the age-old folding massage table pattern, which has a skirt hiding legs that can be altered to suit different height requirements.

There are also massage tables available for extra storage and some even come with side-trays and lighting fixture scope so these can be closed down when not in use and store oils, sponges, cloths and incense etc. out of view and safely, but handy if needed.

The typical table-tops measure 30 inches wide and 76 inches in length; they have rounded corners so covers are easy to put on and no sharp edges protrude when the massage expert has to stretch across a client. Most good quality massage tables come with an added foam-insert that has a built-in face hole and padded table skirts so no hardware is apparently sticking out. Usually, they also have easily adjustable legs that can be operated with one knob and have center support braces to hold every part in place, held together by steel cables that do not allow the massage table to collapse under weight.

One can go in for the DIY type also and put together various locks, levers, knobs and screws to assemble the massage table of their requirement by following simple instructions, but this was mostly for the older version (with airplane wings that folded for easy storage and locked tight when in use). This variety cut back on using wood on the supports or legs to curtail weight, but all massage tables – whatever the pattern – do use generous amount of padding and plastic washers so the session is comfortable and peaceful.

If keen on one with wooden parts, check to see these are all curved nicely, sanded down and finished proper to give the surface an elegant look and remain snag-free; opting for the new soft feeling, tough-acting vinyl is a good idea for your massage table investment because it can stand up to a lot of wear and tear subject to body oils, sweat and toxins etc. besides being easy to clean.

So, go for quality (perhaps even add in the neck and leg pillow for added pampering) and choose a massage table that offers more facilities and rub up someone the right way!

The study of how to adapt man to a machine or environment is a way that is not stressful is called workplace ergonomics. A lot of individuals think that workplace ergonomics has something to do with computer. Yes it has but it is not just the focus. It also looks into the many causes of job- related pain.

Here, the basic concept of carpal tunnel ergonomics will be discussed in order for it to be applied. It is to keep those energy levels up then lessen the twinge and throb.

As a recap, the carpal tunnel is an area in the wrist and palm where the nerves and tendons of your forearm and hand pass. When this area is aggravated, it swells, putting pressure on the nerves thus, causing pain. Most people feel this pain at night when they sleep with bent wrists or awkward positions for a long time. It can even awake them at the middle of the night because of those pins and needles tingling sensations. When they are fully up, many people ignore the pain until permanent nerve damage occurs.

To prevent the eventual intense pain, here are simple carpal tunnel ergonomics’ tips. These will be of great help to extend the comfort stage while working.

You can buy gel pads at almost everywhere. This for the keyboards and mouse you use everyday in the office. Wrap all vibrating tools with paddings. Most of the hardware stores have it for a few bucks a roll. Adjust your chair to a position where your wrists are straight on the keyboard. Wrong posture starts the trigger for an eventual carpal tunnel syndrome. Even if you have a deadline to beat, it is best to take a rest. If you are so much in a hurry that you tend to forget, download a software that will just instantly pop- up out of your monitor and give you a reminder. Wrist braces keep your wrists from bending or being flexed. Supports and splints have been proven effective. This can be bought at medical supply houses even without a doctor’s prescription.

Every so often, perform wrist exercises such as limbering and curls. You can tie a gallon of water to a towel, roll it over and grasp it tightly. This is a good alternative if you do not have any dumbbell.

Carpal tunnel ergonomics also looks into how to stop shoulder pains. There are times that the ache brought about by the carpal tunnel syndrome will reach to the arms and towards the upper back.

Here is a carpal tunnel ergonomics exercise: put your thumbs down and arms out straight. Lean forward a bit and bring your pinkies up high and back far. Hold this for a five counts and release a few times.

Since a car’s drive train like that of a Mercedes-Benz only has the wheels to prop it up on the ground, it relies on a network of steel braces and sway bars called the strut assembly to support the weight of the car. During cruise speed, the Mercedes-Benz strut assembly serves as catch framework where bounce from bumps is rerouted. Meanwhile, as the car hugs curves, bounce together with chassis flex and longitudinal compression get transmitted into the strut assembly. Every time bounce and chassis flex are redirected in the Mercedes-Benz struts, the cabin is spared from an otherwise uncomfortable ride.

In the case of chassis flex and longitudinal compression, a Mercedes-Benz is theoretically liable to roll off when cornering. But, because of its strut assembly design, chassis flex and compression is transmitted away from the cabin and into the STRUTS, maintaining the car’s bearing on corners. The same is done to the weight of the vehicle and the bounce from bumps. This function of the strut assembly gives the description “passive” shock absorbers to the strut assembly. Compared to shock absorbers, however, the stress on the chassis produced by both drive applications are not absorbed but are rather transmitted down to the strut mounting points.

Mercedes-Benz struts are usually installed across the chassis and at the heart of the drive train, where it is on a high ground to function as chassis frame and support the car. These struts often sport rugged designs and can be used to improve on the upper suspension arms of the Mercedes-Benz. Due to the strain that strut assembly must absorb away from the chassis, they are held firmly by similarly heavy-duty strut mounts. The Mercedes strut mounts serve as pivot points for the strut assembly. For improved absorption of longitudinal compression, struts are lubricated at either ends.

In most cases, the front end of the Mercedes-Benz is equipped with a MacPherson type of struts. This assembly has rubber strut mounts with strut bearings and bushings in the center to provide mobility for steering. A MacPherson strut is also used on the rear end of the drive train if the Mercedes-Benz is capable of 4-wheel drive. Normally, a traditional strut assembly composed of strut tower braces and sway bars affixed to a chrome strut mount shaft is used on the read end of the drive train.

As the struts transmit force, strut mounts keep the assembly still. And as the strut assembly resists the chassis flex in the drive train and supports the Mercedes-Benz’s sideways load, strut mounts can loose grip of a strut quickly. If a metallic under-chassis noise can be heard every time the Mercedes-Benz turns, it is a sign that the strut assembly has become loose on the strut mounts. Hard steering is another indication that the strut assembly may not be in a good condition to spare the chassis from compression. With a strut’s heavy load and the regular pounding that it receives, it is critical that loose strut mounts are immediately addressed to ensure safe driving.

Since everyone responds positively to a friendly face, you can imagine how people perceive you if you keep your smile hidden. A beautiful smile can make all the difference about how you feel about yourself. Take the important step and consult a dentist about getting your teeth straightened. Fear not, having braces is a very different experience than it was years ago.

First of all, braces no longer have to be those ugly “metal mouth” contraptions. Invisalign is the new breakthrough, invisible solution available today that makes the whole teeth alignment process easier and more attractive. With Invisalign, there are no wires and brackets, which are painful and hard to clean. With this remarkable procedure, using clear braces, the apparatus is virtually unseen. The dentist uses a series of clear removable aligners, and the teeth move predicatively, resulting in straight teeth and a beautiful smile in less time than with the old traditional metal braces. Invisalign is easier because they are removable, so you can brush, floss, and eat the way you always have; therefore, maintaining good oral hygiene. As you can imagine, the invisible braces are a huge hit with teens, as well as adults. The ease and comfort are a plus, and, after all, who isn’t concerned with their looks. The professional will appreciate the clear braces advantage of Invisalign as they are not a distraction in business dealings. In addition, straight teeth offer health advantages too because they are easier to clean, thus aiding in the prevention of gingivitis and periodontal disease.

Secondly, the dental offices today are quite different. Offices provide a professional, personalized care in a spa-like environment. The Atlanta Dental Spa is a perfect example of that kind of office. You will find ergonomic chairs and televisions in each room, along with noise canceling head phones. The dentists and staff are an important element in any ongoing treatment, so it is important to locate a dentist who combines knowledge, experience, and care to treat each patient with art, science, and modern technology to insure that beautiful, healthy smile. The Atlanta Dental Spa is such a cosmetic and general dental practice. Dr. Boulden and Dr Estep are two Atlanta dentists that work as a team, so each individual can realize his or her perfect smile.

It is important to look and feel as good as you can. A healthy and beautiful smile is a part of the whole picture that is you. Crooked, discolored teeth are an impediment to your health and confidence and can influence the way others see you. You want to look into the mirror and love the look of the person you see. Smile back!

I just got braces yesterday. I don’t have separators. My braces are making my teeth very sore right now and they are very uncomfortable. It didn’t hurt as much on the first day I got them. Today every time I try to chew it hurts. How long does it take for most of the pain to go away? And do I really have to brush four times a day now that I have braces?

It feels like torture just to have beauty.

1) About 5 days. I know, it sucks =( Just suffer through it. Oh! And take pain medication like ibuprofen! It helps. And put wax on the parts where the pokey stuff is hurting your gums.
2) No, I just brush twice a day. But I use a sonicare toothbrush and am sure to brush thoroughly

You should brush them after every meal, not every time you eat. At school, I don’t bring a tooth brush to lunch, but my orthodontist said that you should swish a drink in your mouth after you eat to at least get some of the food out of your braces.
